BROADCAST JOURNALISM
This is my passion. I love everything related to Broadcast Journalism and I work extremely hard to mold my projects into something I am proud of. Whether it is Play-by-Play or filming a music video, I just get giddy about anything that has a camera or a microphone. Ask anyone, it's a sight to see.

PLAY-BY-PLAY
BROADCASTING
During the 2023-2024 school year I self-produced and provided live play-by-play for over forty broadcasts of HCA Men's and Women's Basketball. As the 'Voice of Charger Basketball' I broadcasted from home and on the road, telling two separate stories that felt like a rollercoaster ride.
MY SPOTTING BOARDS
Every single game I create spotting boards. The challenge about creating high school spotting boards is the lack of information and statistics available. A majority of the games I broadcast I am seeing the opposing team and speaking with the Head Coach for the first time. Sometimes, when there is a girls and guys game on the same day, I create up to four spotting boards for an evening. At the beginning of the season I created a spotting board template on Google Sheets, but then adjusted it dozens of times to make it perfect for me and make myself as comfortable as I possibly can be. The best advice (and most reiterated) advice I get from professional broadcasters is that preparation is key. It is so important, and my spotting boards are a summary of the extensive preparation I put into my games.

810 Varsity
I get paid to do what I love. This is thanks to 810 Varsity, the high school broadcasting stem of 810 WHB, one of the largest radio station networks in the country. My duties included setting up and tearing down for games, occasionally meeting with coaches, and formulating play-by-play for high school games all fall and winter. This job presented a direct way for me to hone my craft.

SHORT
FILM
Watch below 'Made With Love', a Short Film that I edited and co-filmed alongside a great team during my sophomore year of video production. The video took days to film and weeks to edit, but it was all worth it in the end. Check it out below!
